Between 5 and 15 October 2021, the Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences (IIRPS) of the University of Vilnius, with the support of the State Security Department of Lithuania (VSD), and in association with the Intelligence College in Europe and La Fabrique Défense, organised for the second time the “intelligence officer for a week” course.
This innovative and interactive learning experience is destined to students of the University invested in international relations who are invited to work in groups and draft intelligence analysis papers on current threats to European security, before briefing decision-makers. It was an occasion for the VSD and the College to raise awareness amongst future young leaders over the intelligence institutions work and intelligence officer profession, its opportunities and its challenges. The Director of the College’s Permanent Secretariat, Mrs. Yasmine Gouédard, notably gave a lecture on intelligence in Europe and how to build a shared strategic culture.
This year the “Intelligence Week” goal was to focus on 360 overview of the new threats landscape and the impact it has to national and international security.
